Inaugurated in 2013, the Grand Stade d’Agadir—commonly known as Adrar Stadium —is a modern, world-class sports complex spanning 32 hectares, strategically located just 15 minutes from Agadir city center and 30 minutes from Agadir–Al Massira Airport. Since its opening, it has earned a reputation as a premier venue in North Africa, notably hosting matches during the 2013 FIFA Club World Cup.
With a current seating capacity of 43,500, the stadium is undergoing a major two-phase upgrade to reinforce its role on the global stage:
🔹 Phase 1 (2025): Full compliance with CAF standards to host matches during the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
🔹 Phase 2 (post-2025): Alignment with FIFA requirements for the 2030 FIFA World Cup, including:
Expansion to 46,000 seats
Installation of a 360° panoramic roof
Enhanced VIP and hospitality facilities
Modernized lighting, pitch, and spectator amenities
Set against the dramatic backdrop of the Anti-Atlas foothills and famed for its open, airy design, Stade Adrar combines functionality with scenic appeal—making it not only a top-tier competitive arena but also a must-see landmark for sports and architecture enthusiasts visiting southern Morocco.
